About Giclee Prints

Giclee printing is an elevation in the reproduction of fine art. The Giclee process produces a print of exceptional color and quality. Giclee  is a French word meaning to spray or squirt.  The process uses 8 color to 12 color inkjet printers. The Giclee print has all the characteristics of the original work due to the process of generating the image from a high resolution  digital scan and using archival quality inks. The quality of the print rivals that of the silver-halide, and gelatin printing processes.

The Giclee prints from Toucan Sun are reproduced from original watercolors and are identical in color to the original work.
